Telles qu\u2019il a pu me les montrer sous forme de poudre, ces mol\u00e9cules ne sont pas directement utilisables. L\u2019aspect granuleux et irr\u00e9gulier risquerait d&#8217;emp\u00eacher le laser d\u2019\u00eatre cr\u00e9\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En effet, pour cr\u00e9er un laser, il est n\u00e9cessaire que la lumi\u00e8re voie ces mol\u00e9cules sous un aspect uniforme et homog\u00e8ne. Un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne analogue est observ\u00e9 lorsqu&#8217;on dilue du sel dans de l\u2019eau. L\u2019environnement qui entoure les \u00e9l\u00e9ments du sel est tout \u00e0 fait r\u00e9gulier pour la lumi\u00e8re que nous regardons. Aucune discontinuit\u00e9 n\u2019est alors visible \u00e0 l&#8217;\u0153il nu. Il en va de m\u00eame pour les colorants dans du plastique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u2019ayant expliqu\u00e9 son id\u00e9e, S\u00e9bastien Forget me montra alors certains des plastiques qu\u2019il avait cr\u00e9\u00e9s. L\u2019un d\u2019eux, d\u2019aspect cylindrique, attira particuli\u00e8rement mon attention. Des bulles d\u2019air s\u2019\u00e9taient form\u00e9es en son centre et semblaient \u00eatre comme des r\u00e9pliques miniatures de l\u2019ensemble. Quand nous l\u2019avons \u00e9clair\u00e9 avec une lumi\u00e8re ultraviolette, une d\u00e9licate lumi\u00e8re bleut\u00e9e nous \u00e9blouit en retour. Sa teinte \u00e9tait apaisante et la composition qu\u2019elle formait avec les bulles d\u2019air m\u2019intrigua par l\u2019effet d\u2019\u00e9chelle qu\u2019elle cr\u00e9ait. Je le pris en photo sous divers angles pour tenter de retranscrire cette \u00e9trange impression que j\u2019avais sous les yeux.
